Solar Ethics is Don's latest contribution, specifically dedicated to the Sea of Faith. He develops an exciting new image of an energy which is burning itself out in orbit and provides the focus of light and heat as it does so. The sun has no interior world, but commits itself in its elipses and eclipses to the process of "coming out" and so defining to all who would see it how it is. We are provided in a brief 69 pages with a gripping and vivid picture of the ethical and human life being lived to the full. A poetic image does not need arguing for. Here after the intellectual arguments of Don's previous books we have an attractive and compelling symbol for what all of us in the Network ought to be about. No more hiding under bushels, out and about creating and re-creating our highest ethical ideals.
